abdulbary yahyaWhat a turnaround!!

When Umar Ibn alKhattaab went to murder the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم he was going to commit the greatest crime in the history of humanity.  He ended up accepting Islam instead and it changed the course of history.  What a turnaround!!!  When you are thinking about committing a sin, make your turnaround. What you might have been thinking of doing is nothing near what Umar was intending.  Go ahead make your amazing turnaround.”

Keep reminding but don’t be judgmental. Talking about people without proof or knowledge could cost you Jannah.

April 24, 2011 at 2:15pm

Abu Hurairah said: I heard the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم say: “There were two men of Banu Isra’il, who were striving for the same goal. One of them would commit sins and the other would strive to do his best in worship. The man who exerted himself in worship continued to see the other in sin. He would say: Stop it, One day he found him committing sin and said to him: Stop committing it. He said: Leave me alone with me and my Lord. Have you been sent as a guardian over me?! He said: I swear by Allah, Allah will not forgive you, nor will He admit you to Paradise. Then their souls were taken back (i.e. they both died), and they met together with the Lord of the worlds. Allah said to the man who had striven hard in worship; Did you have knowledge about Me (and what I would to say such things)or did you have power over that which I had in My hands? He then said to the man who sinned: Go and enter Paradise by My mercy. He said (to angels) about the other: Take him to Hell.”

abdulbary yahyaAre you a morning person? If not, maybe you’re not a Tahajjud person…

April 22, 2011 at 2:15pm

“Shaytaan ties three knots on the crown of the head of one of you while you are asleep. He says upon each knot that he ties: “You still have a long night ahead you, therefore sleep”. But if he wakes up and remembers Allah, one knot is untied. If he then makes ablution another knot is undone. If he then proceeds to pray the last knot will be disentangled. Thus, he will wake up in the morning full of energy, feeling good. Otherwise (if he doesn’t wake up for Tahajjud) he will wake up feeling terrible and lazy”. AlBukhaari, Muslim

How to be the best.

April 14, 2011 at 1:36pm

Just copy the best from the best of the rest and you’ll be better than the best.

Are you ready to be the best?

Here’s and example of what I mean:

Check out what Sam Walton, founder of Walmart said,”I probably have traveled and walked into more variety stores than anybody in America. I am just trying to get ideas, any kind of ideas that will help our company. Most of us don’t invent ideas. We take the best ideas from someone else.”

Get back inside the box!

April 14, 2011 at 2:29pm

Ihsaan (Excellence) in Islam doesn’t always mean you have to think outside the box or go outside the box, you just have to return to the box or stay in the box and get better at what you’re already doing. Perfect your wudu, prayers and other acts of worship. The Prophet Sallahu Alaihi wa Salam used to say :

اللهم أعني على ذكرك وشكرك وحسن عبادلك

Oh Allah help me remember you and be thankful to you and help me perfect my worship of you.

abdulbary yahyaLearn to charge your own battery don’t wait for the Sheikh to do it all the time.

April 14, 2011 at 10:00pm

Sometimes we listen to a very motivational talk and we decide to change but with the passage of just a few days we again fall flat on our faces.  If you want to get out of that cycle remember this:

Motivation only gets you going and it’s habit that gets you to your goal. Start making acts of worship a habit and you’ll be successful in changing yourself and remember what the Prophet said:

“The most beloved deeds to Allah are those that are most consistent even if they are little in amount.”

Let’s take it to the next level

April 16, 2011 at 2:00pm

“None of you will truly believes until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself.” alBukhari and Muslim

Most people when they read this hadeeth, they think this is a high, praiseworthy status only the best Muslims can attain.  The truth is, this is the minimum requirement for every Muslim.  The praiseworthy, lofty status is if you prefer others over yourself, to sacrifice your needs for the needs of others.

Allah says describing the Companions:

يؤثرون على أنفسهم ولو كان بهم خصاصة

They prefer others over themselves even if poverty be their lot

(AlHashr 9)

Are You Not a Son of Adam?

April 16, 2011 at 4:32pm

“If the son of Adam had two valleys full of wealth he would desire a third, nothing will fill him up except dirt (after death), and surely Allah will accept the repentance of those who repent.”  Muslim

Some people say “If I had x amount of money I would devout myself in worship.” Don’t deceive yourself.  If you have not repented or made the conviction to change now, you are less likely to do so when you have more money. Don’t say “I’m different.” After all, are you not a “Son of Adam”? It’s now or maybe never.

abdulbary yahyaWorking Mother?

April 17, 2011 at 9:20am

Working mother… Working mother?  Every mother is a working mother.  Our mothers work so hard they deserve the gold, the silver, and the bronze, and that’s what islam gives her.

Abu Hurayrah said: A man came to the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم and said: “O Messenger of Allaah, who is most deserving of my good company?” He said: “Your mother.” He said: “Then who?” He said: “Your mother.” He said: “Then who?” He said: “Your mother.” He said: “Then who?” He said: “Then your father.”

If this was an Olympic race she would have gotten the gold, the silver, and the bronze and the father would have gone home crying.

Lump of Coal anyone?

April 21, 2011 at 3:19am

Financial Advice; I know you should not take advice from someone who hasn’t been successful in whatever he’s advising in, so if you want, you can look at this advice as a lump of coal if you like since it’s coming from me but….If you’re not a “gold bug” yet, be one or whatever is in your bank account now might just turn into a lump of coal. Gold and silver are storers of value and will protect you against inflation.

This Ummah Needs More Men Power!

April 22, 2011 at 12:10pm

Does this ummah need more wealth? Gems? Pearls? No…this ummah needs men not males but real men…

Umar was sitting with his companions one day and said to them, “Go ahead make a wish.” A man from amongst them said, “I wish this house was full of gold of which to spend in the way of Allah.” another said “I wish it was full off pearls, peridots, and gems of which I could spend in the way of Allah and give in charity. Umar then said,”Go ahead make another wish.” They said,”We don’t know what else to say oh Ameer al-Mu’mineen.” Umar then said,”I wish this house was full of men like Abu Ubaidah Ibn al-Jarraah.”
